Privacy Policy
Effective September 11, 2026
GoBrianMason is a Cincinnati-focused local discovery and real-estate website operated by Brian Mason. This policy explains how information may be handled when you use the site.
Browsing and local profiles
You may browse GoBrianMason without creating an account. Home preferences, saves, passes, and other personalization may be stored locally in your browser or device. Local information is not automatically uploaded to a GoBrianMason account or sent to Comey & Shepherd/BoldTrail.
GoBrianMason accounts
If you choose to create a GoBrianMason account, information you submit can be stored in GoBrianMason's server-side account database so your profile can be available across devices. This may include your name, email address, optional phone number, home-search preferences, saved items, profile notes, and other information you deliberately save to the account.
Account passwords are not stored in plaintext. Authentication data and session information are used to operate and secure the account. GoBrianMason may also keep limited technical security records, such as hashed network identifiers used for authentication rate limiting and account-security events.
Profile sharing with Brian
Saving a cloud profile and sharing it with Brian are separate choices. If you turn on Share my profile with Brian, Brian can view the profile information you have chosen to store so he can personally assist with your real-estate interests. If profile sharing is off, Brian's administrative workspace may still show basic account and permission records needed to operate the service, but the saved preference profile is not displayed to him through that workspace.
Communication preferences
Creating a GoBrianMason account does not by itself grant optional real-estate communication permission. After signup, you may separately choose whether Brian Mason may personally contact you about your real-estate interests and whether to share your saved profile with him. If you provide a phone number and grant personal-contact permission, Brian may occasionally call or text you directly in the course of that relationship. GoBrianMason does not operate an automated SMS campaign system or a dedicated GoBrianMason texting line.
You can ask Brian at any time to stop contacting you or to stop using a particular method, and that preference should be honored in the relationship record. Ongoing saved-search alerts, automated property updates, or brokerage campaign communications are part of the separate Comey & Shepherd/BoldTrail provider experience and require that provider's own activation and permissions.
Operational account emails—such as email verification, password-reset, password-change, and sign-in-email-change messages—may be sent when necessary to operate or secure your account. These security messages are separate from optional real-estate communication permission.
Comey & Shepherd and BoldTrail
GoBrianMason accounts are separate from Comey & Shepherd/BoldTrail home-search accounts. If you choose Activate Home Search, you are sent to the provider-controlled registration experience. Comey & Shepherd/BoldTrail manages that account, password, saved-search tools, registration disclosures, consent records, and other provider-side activity under its own terms and privacy practices. GoBrianMason does not reuse your GoBrianMason password as a provider password or silently create a provider account from ordinary GoBrianMason browsing.
Brian-only relationship records
Brian may maintain private relationship-management information associated with a GoBrianMason member, such as how the relationship began, relationship stage, personal follow-up notes, and next-action reminders. These records are used to manage direct professional relationships and are not displayed publicly.
Ask Cincinnati AI and voice
When you deliberately use Ask Cincinnati, the text you submit is sent from GoBrianMason's server-side endpoint to OpenAI so the requested AI response can be generated. If you deliberately use the server-based voice-transcription feature, the audio recording is sent server-side to OpenAI for transcription before the resulting text is used in the feature. Provider handling is governed by applicable provider terms, privacy policy, and service configuration.
Other third-party services
Some features link to or integrate with third-party services, including public listing sites, Comey & Shepherd/BoldTrail, and optional social-platform services. Those services may process information under their own privacy policies when you choose to use them.
Sharing and selling information
GoBrianMason does not sell personal information to advertisers. Information may be disclosed to service providers as needed to operate a feature you request, to protect or secure the service, to comply with law, or at your direction.
Security
Reasonable technical controls are used to protect account information, including strong password derivation performed in your browser before authentication, a separate salted server-side verifier, secure session cookies, authentication rate limiting, cryptographically validated administrative access, one-time hashed verification/recovery tokens with expiration, and keeping service secrets out of public client-side code. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and controls
You can browse without an account, choose whether to save local profile information to an account, choose whether to share a stored profile with Brian, change communication permissions, export account data made available through the account controls, sign out, and delete the GoBrianMason account through the account page. Separate provider accounts must be managed with the applicable provider.
